Where did Shoflo go?
Shoflo doesn't exist as an independent product anymore. shoflo.tv now 301-redirects to lasso.io/rundown, and everything that used to be Shoflo lives inside the LASSO platform as a module called LASSO Rundown. The LASSO page states it directly: “All things Shoflo can now be found right here on lasso.io.” If you're searching for Shoflo today, LASSO Rundown is the product you'll land on, and its own marketing still references “Shoflo Rundown” in places, like the pricing FAQ, as a leftover of the merge.
What does LASSO Rundown cost now?
$1,045/year for 1 user, $3,950/year for 5 users, or $6,950/year for 15 users, all billed annually with no free tier or trial. Additional users beyond a tier's seat count cost $1.50-3.50/day depending on plan. Two add-on modules are sold separately: Prompter ($1,250/yr) and Global Elements Manager ($1,250/yr). A custom Enterprise license with SSO and vendor onboarding is available on request, price unpublished.
On its own site, LASSO Rundown describes drag-and-drop rundown editing, real-time sync across connected devices, and automatic timing recalculation as segments change. It's built and priced for the verticals it lists on its own pages: sports, corporate events, worship, conferences, concerts, galas, universities, and broadcast/media production, which reads as mid-to-large production teams, not a solo freelancer.
What are the alternatives to Shoflo?
Five options come up depending on budget and show size: staying on LASSO Rundown itself, RundownStudio, Runsheet, Overture, or a plain spreadsheet.
LASSO Rundown (where Shoflo went)
If broadcast-grade features and a broadcast budget are both real requirements, LASSO Rundown is the direct continuation of Shoflo and worth staying on. The price only makes sense at that scale, $1,045-6,950/yr plus add-ons is a lot for a solo AV freelancer or a small event-production shop.
RundownStudio
RundownStudio is a hosted rundown tool priced for solo producers and occasional-event use: $0 for solo, $25 per event, or $600/yr for a 2-person team. Both paid plans cap out at 2 team members, so it fits a small operation better than a growing crew. It does not carry LASSO's broadcast feature set or its broadcast price tag.
Runsheet
Runsheetis hosted with zero setup: build the rundown, then run the show from the same place, with synced current-item view and countdowns on every connected screen (control, crew, stage). Start times reflow automatically when a segment runs long, verified in production, not just claimed. Free covers 1 active rundown and 3 connected screens; Pro is $19/mo for unlimited rundowns and screens. It's built for freelancers and small event-production teams, the segment LASSO's pricing prices out.
Overture
Overture starts at $399/yr for 1 event, well under LASSO's $1,045/yr floor, but it's scoped for a different customer: corporate conference producers running general sessions in the 700-7,000 attendee range, not broadcast television production. If your shows are corporate conferences rather than broadcast, Overture is worth a look; see our full Overture alternatives guide for what it does well and what's cheaper for smaller shows.
A spreadsheet
Free, and fine for planning. What it doesn't do on its own: mark a current item that every viewer sees highlighted the same way, or reflow downstream times when a segment runs long, without someone building the formulas first. See our spreadsheet vs software guide for the tests you can run yourself in under two minutes.
Which Shoflo alternative should I use?
If your shows are genuinely broadcast-scale and the budget matches, staying on LASSO Rundown is the straightforward answer, it's the direct continuation of the product you already knew. If you're a freelancer or small event-production team priced out of LASSO's $1,045/yr floor, RundownStudio and Runsheet both fit a much smaller budget, and Overture fits if your shows are corporate conferences specifically. A spreadsheet still works if the show is small and static enough that nothing needs to reflow live.
Details checked August 2026 from each product's public pages. Runsheet is not affiliated with any tool listed.
FAQ
- Is Shoflo still around?
- Not as an independent product. shoflo.tv now 301-redirects to lasso.io/rundown, and the page there says plainly: “All things Shoflo can now be found right here on lasso.io.” Shoflo is now a module inside the LASSO platform, branded LASSO Rundown.
- What does LASSO Rundown cost now?
- $1,045/yr for 1 user, $3,950/yr for 5 users, or $6,950/yr for 15 users, billed annually with no free tier or trial. Add-ons like Prompter and Global Elements Manager are $1,250/yr each, on top of the base price.
- Is there a free alternative to Shoflo or LASSO Rundown?
- Not among the dedicated tools compared here, though the free tiers differ a lot. Runsheet is free for 1 active rundown and 3 connected screens. RundownStudio has a free Solo plan for one person. A spreadsheet is free but doesn't hold a live current-item state or reflow times on its own.
- What does RundownStudio cost compared to LASSO?
- RundownStudio is $0 for solo use, $25 per event, or $600/yr for a 2-person team, a different price tier entirely from LASSO's $1,045-6,950/yr. It's built for solo producers and occasional-event use rather than broadcast-scale production.
- Is Overture a cheaper alternative to LASSO?
- Yes, on price: Overture starts at $399/yr for 1 event versus LASSO's $1,045/yr minimum. But it's scoped differently, Overture is built for corporate conference producers running general sessions, not broadcast TV production the way LASSO is. See our Overture alternatives guide for the deeper breakdown.
- Does the auto-reflow feature carry over from Shoflo to LASSO Rundown?
- LASSO's own site states the system “automatically calculates show timing and adjusts in real-time as the event progresses.” That's LASSO's claim about its own product, we haven't run a show on it ourselves to verify the live-overrun case specifically.
- Where does Runsheet fit as a Shoflo alternative?
- Runsheet is hosted, zero-setup, and builds the rundown and runs it live from the same place: synced current-item view and countdowns on every connected screen, with start times that reflow automatically when a segment runs long, verified in production. Free for 1 rundown and 3 screens, Pro is $19/mo unlimited. It's aimed at freelancers and small event-production teams, not broadcast budgets.
