Runsheet Documentation

How to use Runsheet, from the first rundown to calling a show live.

Last updated August 22, 2026

What Runsheet is

Runsheet is a hosted, browser-based tool for building a run of show (the minute-by-minute schedule of a live event) and then running the show from it. One person edits the rundown; everyone else opens a share link. During the show, every connected screen shows the same current item and countdown in real time, and when a segment runs long, the start times of everything after it move automatically.

There is nothing to install and nothing to self-host. The rundown editor, the live views, and the share links all run at runsheet.show in an ordinary browser. Viewers never need an account — only the person who owns the rundown signs in.

Runsheet does not write rundown content for you. It is an editor plus a live-execution layer for a rundown you build yourself.

The documentation

  • Getting startedCreate an account, build your first rundown, edit rows, import from a spreadsheet, print, and share it — end to end.
  • Live mode and time reflowStart Show, NEXT, jump, Hold and Resume, End Show, messages to screens, the drift indicator, and exactly how start times reflow during an overrun.
  • Share links, screens, and plansHow the control, crew, and stage links work, why viewers don't need accounts, how connected screens are counted, and what the free plan includes.

Plans at a glance

The free plan includes the full editor and full live mode: 1 active rundown and 3 connected viewer screens per show. Pro is $19/month for unlimited rundowns and unlimited screens. Details, including exactly how “active” and “connected” are counted, are in Share links, screens, and plans.

Runsheet documentation covers the product as it works today. For background on run-of-show practice itself (templates, calling conventions, tool comparisons), see the guides.
